Destinations:

Labuan Bajo

The port town of Labuanbajo is experiencing a boom in tourism, serving as the gateway to Flores and the main departure point for trips to Komodo National Park, but it nevertheless retains a laidback village feel. You can stay in town or at one of the nearby island hotels – a pleasant option, as most of these places offer a quiet getaway with unspoilt beaches and decent snorkelling, although they tend to be pricey.

Kelor Island

Kelor Island has many features, including beautiful beaches, mountains, local activities, and calm sea. In the shorelines, you can even see some local boats and kids. The locals often come to the beach to do many fun activities like swimming, riding boats, running on the beach, and much more. That means water sports become the main activities in Kelor, so tourists need to prepare extra clothes prior to visiting the island. It is because they are likely to get wet when playing on the seashore.

 Komodo National Park Rinca

Rinca Island is a second biggest islands in Komodo National Park. Furthermore, it is part of Komodo National Park famous as a habitat of the giant lizards in the world. Meanwhile, the island surface is consisted of limestone hills with wide savanna where the Komodo Dragons love to stay in. Moreover, there are other species of wild animals living together in this island such as water buffalo, monkeys, forest pig, deer, birds etc. In addition, Rinca Island is one of the famous tourist destinations to discover the big reptiles of Komodo living free on the land. The popular activity for traveler visiting Rinca island is an exciting trekking adventure through the island to explore the island in discovering Komodo dragon, other wild life and spectacular landscape.

Pink Beach

Pink Beach as it is aptly named, is one of seven pink beaches on the planet, and is just one of the many amazing features of Komodo National Park that make it truly a Natural Wonder of Nature. This exceptional beach gets its striking color from microscopic animals called Foraminifera, which produce a red pigment on the coral reefs.  For this reason, it is called Red Beach in the local tongue. When the tiny fragments of red coral combine with the white sands, this produces the soft pink color that is visible along the shoreline. Aside from Pink Beach itself, a few small segments along Komodo’s eastern bay also have a pinkish tint.

Kalong Island

Kalong Island is a small beautiful island in Komodo National Park with mangrove plantations cover the island where thousands of bats living. Furthermore, the name of this island is coming from the local word that Kalong means bat. It is because of the island dwelt by thousands of bats and keeps secret by local people. This island presents the exotic attraction of bat flying over the island in particular sunset time.

Padar Island

You have to climb to the top of the hill on the island of Padar and you will be amazed by the great sight of 4 coastline forming four arches are very beautiful, with views of the boats anchored and the beautiful beaches. You must prepare yourself physically and bring your own drink, sunblock and hat so you do not fatigue when climbing hills. Fatigue will pay off with a very beautiful scenery.

Taka Makassar

Taka Makassar is small island around Komodo National Park, there’s you can snorkel the clear sea water and see the beautiful underwater scenery of Gurung island.

Manta Point

Manta Point Komodo is a divesite rich with bottom based plankton making it an alluring spot – attracting dozens of Manta Ray for feeding and cleaning. Accessible by chartered liveaboard, the dive site sits between the islands of Komodo and Rinca within the Komodo National Park.

Gili Lawa

Gili Lawa is a beautiful small island near the main island Komodo. Gili Lawa is an uninhabited island located one hour away from Komodo Island. From Labuan Bajo, it will take around four hours to get to the island. The island has become a popular travelers’ destination. The island offers one-of-a kind view of the Flores sea from the top of its hill. When you arrive at the island, you will be greeted by the white, clean sand completed by the clear water with amazing combination of blue and green. The whole island has hills all over, with green savana that turns yellowish when the dry season comes.

Kanawa Island

Kanawa is a lovely little island at the edge of world famous Komodo National Park. It’s probably the best way to enjoy the National park, since it is located just few minutes away by boat, offering tours, diving, food and accommodation on pristine white sand beaches. The island is fully surrounded by an untouched coral reef where turtles, sharks, mantas and thousands of other sea creatures live.

Siaba Island

Siaba Island is the closest island with white sandy beach from Labuan Bajo. It takes only 20 minutes by local boat from the harbour. Spending half day upon arrival from plane is best recommended to visit this island rather than staying at hotel. The beach is not the best one in Komodo Flores but it should bring you into a calm relaxation and can breathe with totally fresh air. Laying down on the beach or swimming, snorkeling around are just way beyond your imagination after leaving your hustle city with lots of air pollution.
